Anna Proctor LMPA LRPS

Anna’s artistic background let’s her ‘see’ the beauty of our landscape creatively, noticing lines, forms, patterns, shapes and light. A recent convert to digital photography from transparency film, Anna still takes the time to stop, to absorb her surroundings and to assess the lighting before putting her camera on a tripod. Composing an image and getting the settings right ‘in camera’, before pressing the shutter, is preferable to spending hours making adjustments at the computer later. The ability to be patient and alert to changing lighting and weather conditions is the key to capturing an eye catching image.

Childhood holidays by the sea and mountains of mid Wales were the inspiration for Anna to capture sea and skyscape images. More recently, she fulfilled a dream to live on a Greek island, by taking a ‘gap’ year that turned into an eighteen month stay, where she honed her photographic and creative skills. On returning to the UK, Anna became a professional, fine art landscape photographer and a qualified member of the Master Photographers Association. Anna has commissioned seascapes permanently installed in the Radiology Department at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, England.
