Strictly speaking these images are examples of algorithmic digital art, which is to say that they are produced by a specialised computer program (Megagems) rather than interactively with a painting program or derivatively by manipulating existing images or photographs.

My program, which I have dubbed 'MEGAGEMS' has been 'in development' for several years and will probably never be completed as it is still being constantly tweaked and extended to produce an ever increasing variety of images.
The images by their nature are all abstract and those which appear on this website are those which appeal to me, experience has shown that they also tend to appeal to others and I hope that some will appeal to you. Titles can be a problem with non-objective art and I prefer not to apply suggestive or metaphysical names to this work. Instead each example has the same title 'MEGAGEM' followed by an upper case letter to indicate a 'selection' and an identification number.
The selection offered on this site is selection 'R' and numbered 1,2,3 ...etc.. So a typical title would be “MEGAGEM-R- 2”, providing identification without suggestion or implication. As to quality or fitness for purpose the work, like all art, should speak for itself.
