Paul Hamilton LRPS
My inspiration for photography stems from always having had a fascination for the natural world and man's contribution to it, in the form of architecture in scenic surroundings. Even the most mundane looking of subjects to most people can be transformed in to a beautiful shot in the photographic sense. With my natural eye I have always and am constantly noticing potential shots even just walking along or when l am driving to and from A to B.
I eat, sleep, live and breathe photography and try to produce evocative photographs that grab the viewers attention, for me the image should say it all without the help of words and captions. My love and fascination with the rural and urban landscape in their many guises, from the intricate detail, to patterns shapes and textures, to the wide open sweeping vistas is what it's all about for me.
Not just to photograph what is there but to interpret the subject in my own way and style, rock formations and water play a big part in my imagery and are particular favourites when it comes to aesthetically pleasing compositions. For the love of the land and a passion for photography, what better way than to interpret what's in my minds eye than to combine the two and finish up with the final image to treasure and feel a sense of complete satisfaction.
