Sheila has been painting for many years and within that time experimented with many mediums and styles but has found that she is most creative and inspired when working with colour. Her fascination with colour started whilst studying for a degree in Design Futures and researching art history, where she was introduced to the paintings of the Fauves movement. Sheila was immediately intrigued by their expressive use of colour and bold brush strokes and was encouraged to experiment with colour in her own paintings and develop her own unique style.
