Roller Blind Measuring Guide

Measuring inside a window recess

• Use this method when you want your roller blind to be fitted inside the window recess.
• First ensure that the recess your blind is going into is not obstructed in any way (by window handles for example) so the blind can hang freely when fully extended.
• Using a metal tape measure, carefully measure the total width from A to B and the drop from C to D.
• Check your measurement in several places to allow for any slight variation or irregularity in your window recess.
• Make a note of the smallest of these measurements, to the nearest millimetre.

 

 

Measuring outside a window recess

• Use this method when you want your roller blind to be fitted outside the window recess.
• Decide how far you want the fabric to overlap on all sides – we recommend this should be at least 50mm (2 inches)
• Using a metal tape measure, carefully measure the width from E to F and the drop length you want from G to H.
• Make a note of these measurements to the nearest millimetre.

Remember to use a steel tape measure for accuracy and to measure in centimeters and round each measurement to the nearest 0.1cm.
