“Redcliffe Imaging”, “us” or “we” refers to the company. “You” refers to the user or viewer of our website. By using our services you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.

Website Use

By using this website, you agree to these terms and conditions, which together with our Privacy Policy govern our relationship with you. The content of this site is provided for general information only and is subject to change without notice. This website uses cookies to monitor browsing preferences; if you allow cookies, certain personal information may be stored to help us deliver our services.

We make every effort to ensure information is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content and exclude liability for errors to the fullest extent permitted by law. Your use of any information on this site is entirely at your own risk. All design, content, and graphics are owned by or licensed to us — reproduction is prohibited except in accordance with our copyright notice. Unauthorised use may constitute a criminal offence. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we accept no responsibility for their content. Your use of this website is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

Placing an Order

Placing an order online, by email, in person, or by telephone constitutes your acceptance of our prices and terms, and you will be held liable for the full order value. All of our prints are made to order to your specific requirements.

If you need to cancel or amend an order, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 24 hours of placing it. Once work has commenced on your order we are unable to offer a refund and you will remain liable for payment in full. All sizes quoted are nominal; we allow a tolerance of up to 2mm in each direction as a result of the hand-finishing process.

We make every effort to identify obvious errors but all information contained within your order must be accurate. We will not accept liability for errors in file content, sizing, or specification that result in a finished print that does not meet your expectations, provided we have executed the order in accordance with your instructions.

Copyright

It is your responsibility to ensure that all materials submitted for printing are free from any third-party claims for breach of copyright or licence. Redcliffe Imaging Ltd accepts no responsibility for copyright or licensing issues arising from files submitted, and you indemnify us against any such claim.

We will not print images or materials that contain or relate to any of the following:

We reserve the right to refuse any print order that breaches these terms, without notice. Where appropriate we may report such content to the relevant authorities.

Supplied Files

Digital files may be uploaded to our website or submitted by email or file transfer. Files submitted in formats not compatible with our production workflow may not be accepted and could result in your order being delayed or rejected. We will contact you if there is a problem with a submitted file before proceeding.

Whilst your files may be retained on our systems after printing, we accept no liability for their loss. You are strongly advised to maintain your own secure backups of all original files and artwork.

Colour Management & Proofing

We maintain all printing equipment to the highest calibration standards and use industry-standard colour management throughout our workflow. However, exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed. Due to the inherent nature of the colour management process, some colours may not reproduce with complete accuracy, and discrepancies may arise when your finished print is viewed outside the controlled environment of our studio — for example under different lighting conditions.

We cannot be held responsible for differences in tone, contrast, or colour between a supplied file and the finished print where those differences arise from monitor calibration, file preparation, or the characteristics of the chosen media. Our colour management process is designed to minimise rather than eliminate such tolerances.

We strongly recommend requesting a proof print before committing to a full edition. If you proceed without a proof, your files will be printed as received and we cannot offer a reprint or refund on the basis of colour dissatisfaction alone.

Where a proofing process is agreed, we will await your written approval before proceeding to print. Once approval is given and production has commenced, no further changes can be made and you will be held liable for the full order value.

Original Artwork

Where you supply original physical artwork for scanning or copying, all reasonable care will be taken in its handling. However, works are submitted entirely at your own risk. Redcliffe Imaging Ltd accepts no liability for loss of or damage to supplied originals whilst in our care or in transit.

Due to the restrictions imposed by courier services, we are unable to arrange extended liability cover for original artwork sent via the postal or courier network. It is your sole responsibility to arrange independent insurance cover for any originals you send to us, should you wish to do so.

Prices

Delivery charges are shown at checkout or quoted separately for larger orders. All prices are subject to change at any time prior to your order being accepted. Where a job requires retouching, file correction, or colour adjustment beyond our standard workflow, we reserve the right to requote before proceeding. No print work commences without your approval of the final price.

Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards (excluding American Express) and BACS bank transfer. For new clients, payment is required upon receipt of invoice. We are happy to set up 30-day credit accounts for regular clients, subject to two trade references — please contact us at support@redcliffe.co.uk or on 0117 952 0105 to request an account application.

Goods remain the property of Redcliffe Imaging Ltd until payment is received in full. Failure to pay within agreed terms may result in the suspension of your account and recovery action for outstanding balances.

Lead Times & Delivery

We will make every effort to complete orders within our stated lead times, but cannot accept liability for consequential losses should quoted turnaround times not be met. Lead times are target times only and run from the point at which we have received all files and order details required to proceed. Changes to your order, or files that do not meet the required specification, may delay your order.

Free UK delivery applies to web orders placed through our payment server, to a single UK mainland address. All other orders are subject to our standard delivery charges. We use tracked professional carriers (ParcelForce, UPS, or equivalent). Please provide a full delivery address including postcode and a contact telephone number. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Please inspect packages within 48 hours of receipt. If goods arrive damaged, ask the recipient to sign for them as “damaged” at the point of delivery and contact us immediately with photographic evidence. We cannot accept transit damage claims reported outside this window. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.

Cancellation Rights & Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers may cancel an order within 14 calendar days of the day following delivery. Please note this right does not apply to business-to-business contracts, or to bespoke and custom-printed items — including fine art giclée prints, greeting cards, posters, large format prints, and any other item made to your specification (exempt under Regulation 28(1)(b)).

To cancel an eligible order, please contact Thomas Chard at tom@redcliffe.co.uk or 0117 952 0105. Please take reasonable care of any goods while they remain in your possession. We will arrange collection at our cost for orders returned under this right.

If you receive a print that is defective or materially different from what was ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence. Where a fault is confirmed to be ours, we will offer either a reprint or a refund at our discretion. We do not offer both simultaneously.

Complaints

We take great pride in the quality of our work and receive very few complaints relative to our order volume. If you experience any problem with your order or our service, please contact Thomas Chard, Managing Director, at tom@redcliffe.co.uk or on 0117 952 0105. We will do our utmost to resolve the matter to your complete satisfaction.
